3 Ways to Elevate Your Wedding Bar Experience

June 3, 2019

Let’s be honest, the wedding ceremony is fun, but the reception is usually everyone’s favorite part! The venue, decor, and food all contribute to the overall experience, but the bar service can really make or break your event. Here are three ways to elevate your wedding bar experience:

1. Signature Cocktails

Guests at weddings LOVE signature cocktails. Most people have a go-to drink that they always order (think rum and coke, or vodka tonic) but offering signature cocktails at your wedding gives your guests a chance to try something new. Including a couple of signature cocktails on your menu creates a different experience than a guest would have at a typical bar. At 72 Company, we encourage our clients to go for something that appeals to most people, looks pretty, and makes your event stand out from the rest. Your signature cocktails do not need to be something extravagant, either. Even if you opt for a “simple” signature cocktail, an edible flower garnish is the perfect addition and will take the drink to the next level. Get creative with names of the drinks and really let you and your partner’s personality shine!

2. Coffee Bar

Having a coffee bar at your wedding is a trend that we can definitely get behind! A coffee bar is great for an early-morning or brunch reception or one in which many of the guests will not drink alcohol, but it’s also a great bar option for any wedding! You can certainly have a traditional bar and a coffee bar at your reception. What’s better than ending a night of dancing and drinking with a nice vanilla latte? In South Carolina, the fall is peak wedding season, and it’s also the perfect time for coffee. Do you love pumpkin spiced lattes? Why not feature that as a signature drink at your wedding reception? Customize the tops of lattes with your wedding hashtag using cinnamon or cocoa, or create cute custom coffee cup sleeves  – the options are endless!

3. Mobile Bar

A mobile bar is a “party on wheels.” We think a mobile bar is the ultimate wedding bar experience because it brings something so unique to a wedding reception. There are so many different types of mobile bars but the most common include renovated horse trailers and vintage campers. Our vintage camper bar is a conversation piece, and it allows our bartenders to truly engage with wedding guests. Not only does it elevate the experience, but it makes for a simple, clean bartending service. Serving drinks for 150+ people can often get messy, and there are a ton of supplies like coolers, boxes full of beer and wine, mixers, etc. – all of that is kept inside or behind the bar and out of sight! If you are looking for a simple way to impress your guests, a mobile bar is the way to go!
